About The Community Garden

Now is the time to start your growing season at the Community Garden at Auburn University. Plots are currently available for rental for the year. The season officially got underway last month. This year, an annual plot rental lasts through February 10, 2024.

Plots come in varying sizes, including raised beds. Pricing is based on the size and whether or not you are a student. Find out more about the plot rentals here. And, don’t forget to read through the FAQs for information on plot management and gardening standards.

Not only can you garden at the Community Garden at Auburn University, you can learn about gardening too. The Community Garden hosts “Community Day” events once a month.

Community Day is usually the first Saturday of the month. The workshops focus on a wide range of topics. Connect with the garden on Facebook or Instagram to see the upcoming events each month.

Other garden perks

Besides renting a plot or learning about gardening, you can also give back by volunteering at the Community Garden. The garden hosts regular volunteer events, which are generally announced on Facebook.

You can create your own volunteer event as a group or with your organization. In addition, you can book a private garden tour for your community organization, club or group too.

To garden at the Community Garden at Auburn University, make your way to 1161 West Samford Ave. That’s about four miles from Summer Brooke Apartment Homes, which means you can be seeding and weeding your garden plot after a 10-minute drive.
