About Agave Bar and Grill in Auburn
Not to be confused with the existing Agave Loco Mexican Grill on Opelika Road, Agave Bar and Grill is actually a new concept for The Plains. Founded in Indiana, Agave Bar and Grill in Auburn will be the first location for the family-owned restaurant in Alabama and the fourth overall.
In fact, you may have enjoyed brunch, lunch or dinner at the third Agave Bar and Grill location in nearby Columbus. Luckily, you won’t have to travel that far when the location opens in Downtown Auburn in what was formerly Wings Etc. Grill & Pub.
Are you wondering what to expect on the menu? Expect everything from burritos and chimichangas to “Caliente Chicken & Waffles” and “Huevos Rancherons.”

Again, what sets Agave Bar and Grill apart is their authentic Mexican cuisine and signature recipes for brunch, lunch and dinner. Brunch is where you will find the hot chicken and waffles topped with powdered sugar and a spicy maple syrup, Friday through Sunday only, for example.
Lunch favorites include “Arroz con Pollo,” which is grilled chicken on rice, topped with cheese and salsa, served on a bed of lettuce and tortillas, or the lunch fajitas with your choice of grilled chicken or steak. If you go for dinner, be sure to start with appetizers like the “El trio Dip,” fresh guacamole, salsa, refried bean dip and chips.
Then move on to entrees ranging from more Mexican favorites or even some American specials, like the “Guacburger.” Don’t forget to wash it all down with a specialty margarita, a handcrafted cocktail, a cold beer or a soft drink.

You will soon find Agave Bar and Grill in Auburn at West & Wright on the corner of Wright Street and West Glenn Avenue, across the street from Tropical Smoothie Café. More specifically, the physical address for the up-and-coming Agave Bar and Grill is 201 W. Glenn Ave., which is just a mile from Summer Brooke Apartment Homes.
