Wingstop in Auburn

Not familiar with Wingstop? Not surprising since the closest locations are in Valley, Montgomery or Columbus, Ga.

However, if comments on a recent Facebook post are accurate, all that will change by this summer. First of all, the post points out the upcoming Wingstop in Auburn will be across the street from Kroger.

It will be in tucked the same little strip shared by Marco’s Pizza, Gourmet Tiger, Hair It Is, Mr. Smoke and Benjamin Moore.

Secondly, the expected opening date could be as early as July, if all goes accordingly, the commenter wrote.

More about Wingstop

Wingstop in Auburn will join a growing brand that claims, it’s not about the wings—it’s about the flavor. What started as a small buffalo-style wing place in Garland, Texas, in 1994 has become a beloved chicken chain around the world.

In fact, according to Wingstop’s website, they started franchising in 1997. Since then, they have spread their wings to more than 1,500 locations worldwide.

Not only do they serve “fresh never faked wings,” diners can also choose from boneless wings, chicken tenders or thigh bites.

Sides include Seasoned Fries, which are hand-cut Idaho potatoes tossed in Wingstop’s signature seasoning. Plus, there’s Louisianna Voodoo Fries, Cajun Corn and Fresh Baked Rolls—just to name a few more.
